On Saturday, November 13th, 2011 at 8:00 p.m., the above pictured suspect broke into a residence on Blackburn Boulevard in Vaughan. The suspect was captured on the homes surveillance video approaching the front door and when there was no answer he walked down the side of the house to the backyard however the gate was locked. He then walked around to the front of the house and attempted to open the garage door using the keypad. The suspect then entered the garage through a side unlocked door however moments later exited the garage as the alarm had sounded and the interior door leading into the home was locked.
THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS:
Male, White, 6', 175 -- 190 lbs., with a shaved head, wearing a black leather jacket, dark coloured pants and shoes with one glove on his right hand.
Between October 21st, 2011 and December 7th, 2011, York Regional Police has received reports of 60 reports of break and enter complaints to homes in the City of Vaughan. Suspects have been gaining entry through insecure rear-sliding patio doors during hours of darkness. This has resulted in the theft of several items of jewellery and hand-held electronic equipment.
On a few occasions, individuals would ask for directions or would ask the owner if a certain person lived in the home.
